The Inspiration for Rachel Berry

Though sharing many characteristics with TV Rachel, TTM Rachel Berry is more timid, less control-freak, but equally as hopeful and hungry for stardom. I figured that in the 20's a woman of Rachel's economic and social standards would have been somewhat oppressed and therefore more subdued, with not as many opportunities as today's Rachel would have.
Behold, Rachel's muse, Ms. Fanny Brice.
Just as TV Rachel worships the woman who played her in an Oscar-winning role (the irreplacable Barbra), 20's Rach reveres the real thing. Fanny and Rachel share similar beginnings, which is why she looks up to her so much.

This picture is what basically served as an outline for Rachel's character. Hopeful, starry-eyed, wishing for something better than what she has.
So in some ways, the two Rachels are different: TTM Rachel is far more subdued and less high-maintenance- she's never had glamorous opportunites or beheld as a talented star, much unlike TV Rachel.
But they're similar in their tenacity, strength, and will to do anything to become a big star.

PJO Ch. 14

PJO+FV is now updated with chapter 14. I feel some people will either love or hate this one...with the general consensus being hate. But then again, it's exciting :)

Quinn Fabray's Outfit- TTM

In reality, the opening scene of The Theatre Merveilleux of SPOILER Quinn singing to the moved beyond tears audience was entirely inspired by the "Never Can Say Goodbye" scene in episode 3X11 "Michael".

I imagined her wearing the same type of dress and dramatic hair and make-up, but obviously a softer, more heartbroken song and setting.

I mean, has she ever looked more glamorous? Sure, the writers have totally wacked her up since season 2, but c'mon, she's perfect.

Anyway, just a little inspiration and to show you what I imagined Quinn looking like. Enjoy TTM!

Chapter 2 of "The Theatre Merveilleux"

As the title suggests, TTM has been updated after a long holiday break- http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8778324/2/The-Theatre-Merveilleux

I'd so appreciate it if you went and checked it out or left a review, thank you!

NEW STORY: The Theatre Merveilleux

I've just posted a new Glee AU story that I'm so excited to write. I originally wrote it for NaNo this year, but since it's fanfiction and I didn't finish it I decided to post it on fanfiction.net. Here's a summary:

The shining Theatre Merveilleux has been standing on the corner of the most famous street in New York City since its inception in 1900. The gleaming building is a beauty from the outside with faceted glass windows, gilded gold accents, bright spotlights reflecting off of every surface, and its line to get in always wrapped around the corner. But on the inside, the famously talented players of this stage go through loyalty and betrayal, forbidden romance and heartbreak, deadly lies and the dangerous games that go along with them in the most entertaining industry in the world: showbiz. All the world's a stage...but who is the ultimate player? AU.

I already have a few chapters typed up, so once I get some feedback on the first chapter I'll debate when to post them. Please go give it a go at http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8778324/1/The-Theatre-Merveilleux and tell me what you think. I'd appreciate it so, so much :)
